Happenings at your library....

Read Across America - Sat, March 7, 11 am – 12 pm - Come read with the cat! Every child who reads will receive a free book.

"Sukulaiset: The Kindred" Sat, March 14, 10:30 am – 11:30 am Author Mark Munger reads from and discusses his latest book.

Cloquet Library Reading Club will discuss the novel Still Alice by Lisa Genova. Mon, March 16, 6:30 p.m.

Northern Gael - Tue, March 17, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm - The Celtic band Northern Gael performs on St. Patrick's Day evening with a reading of Irish-influenced poetry by Seamas Cain opening the program.

The Soudan Mine: Then & Now. Tues, March 23, 3:30 p.m. Learn about the history of the mine and its current use in physics and bat research. A Legacy funded program.


Winter Story Times at the Cloquet Public Library will begin in January and continue through the last week in March.
Preschool Story Times (ages 3-5) will be at 10 a.m., Wednesdays, January 7 through March 25.
LapSit Story Times (ages 0-2) will be at 10 a.m., Thursdays, January 8 through March 26.
Join us for stories, songs, play and good times. As part of our story times we will include Story Time Plus. Families are welcome to stay in the Story Time Room until noon each day for extra play and socialization. Parents are also welcome to bring their own snacks or lunch for this time. For more information, call 879-1531 and ask for Lissie.

Bring your Legos and start building!  The Cloquet Public Library will resume its monthly Legos Afterschool Club for kids. The group meets at 4 p.m. on the last Monday of the month during the school year beginning Sept. 29. New kids are welcome any time. If you have any questions, call 879-1531.

Join your fellow library patrons in our winter reading program, Hot Reads for Cold Nights, now through February 27. Simply check out a book from the library (or through interlibrary loan) and submit a brief review (100 words or less is suggested). For each commentary on a book that you submit, your name will be entered in a drawing for prizes in our display case. The drawing will be held March 2. Check our events page on "tumblr" for further details!
